Week # 09

"Everything
Happens for a Reason"
My Accomplishment
On Tuesday and Friday, I was able to accomplished 4
lessons. I executed my lessons in IV- Patriotism, IV-Reliability and IV-
Patience. I also recorded some activities and quizzes of my students on
Wednesday.
My Significant Experiences
The
most significant part of my week was when I prepared my Instructional Materials
which is an audio. Yes, an audio about a speech of Martin Luther King Jr.
entitled “I Have A Dream”. As I entered my first class, I felt nervous because
there was no electric current. What I did was to think of a plan B on how I can
teach the speech. I distributed the photocopies of the speech and I read the
first paragraph with proper pronunciation and feelings and I let them continue
to rad the speech. I was very happy because my students read the speech well
with proper stress, intonation and pronunciation. When they read the last part
of the speech which is “We are free at last, We are free at last”, they made a standing
ovation and they seemed happy after they read the speech.
My Insights
Everything happens for a reason so, we must not
stick to only one plan; we must also consider what would happen next.
Problems
I guess my problem this week was still on classroom
management. The rowdy behavior of some students is really my problem. Every
time I call their name to recite, they just stared at me with blank faces.
Solutions
I let the noisy student’s seat in front so that every time
I asked questions, I ask for their opinions or ideas. I think it was effective
because they always want if I mention their names and I use them as my example.
Goals for Next Week
My goals for
next week are to execute 5-6 lessons. I will also think of an strategy that
will suit the level my students.
